Happy Valley Elementary's history dates back almost 150 years. The school, founded in 1864, was originally located in the Vine Hill area in a little red schoolhouse. The bell from that school stands at the current location off Branciforte Drive, which the school moved into in 1962. The open campus includes ball fields and basketball courts, several play structures, a Life Lab garden, a writing center, a computer lab and a library.
