Buzz, it's a bit embarrassing getting dragged into this inane exchange with those who demand muchRead More yet give nothing. Nevertheless, it does expose their true nature better than any sanitized version we'd see anywhere else. A tip of the hat to Brad Kava for making it possible. Happy new year folks.

Buzz is a dangerous stalker who has implied he is a TBSC member. He says he is a school teacher whoRead More works with at risk youth, but he spends most of his time stalking homeless advocates online. He is lying about Robert Norse. Norse is not wealthy. Buzz also stalks homeless advocate John Colby, and Buzz especially accelerated the pace of that stalking after Colby appeared in a debate with Santa Cruz Mayor Don Lane about homeless issues on community television. Buzz is known for making incest jokes and false allegations of incestuous relationships. You can read more information about him here: Scotts Valley "Buzz" is a danger to students http://www.topix.com/forum/city/santa-cruz-ca/TILCECM2N5T67BJHK Buzz may possibly be one of Pat Skittle's online pawns.

No mention in this article of accused child molester Dylan Greiner being a Clean Team administrator?

Thanks Brad! Nice photos :-) Corrections, this bridge was funded in full by the and the CulturalRead More Council. (Soquel Bridge was community funded) Water Street Bridge is plant and animal life of the San Lorenzo River, and the new one is Pacific Ocean Life. (not all of it local... we don't have Puffins here!) No voting either, the City Arts Commission selects the ones for the bridge, and the ones not selected go up at Mission Hill Middle school. 174 young public artists! Hooray!

Thanks Kathleen! You are one of the jewels that makes this town great.

Mixed feelings here. I worked incredibly hard over a number of years to afford to buy what was atRead More the time one of the county's cheapest homes (not "affordable housing" though). And then other folks just get to walk up and get a handout. This is an expensive area. Living on the central coast is a luxury, not a right. I mean what's next, you gonna build section 8 homes in Pebble Beach?
Maria Grusauskas August 21, 2012 at 07:46 pm
Are you saying only the wealthy should be able to live on the central coast?
Watzon McWats August 22, 2012 at 02:58 am
No, you don't have to be "wealthy" to live on the central coast. I work a fairly averageRead More income job and am able to afford it. This is not a cheap area to live in though. If you can't afford it, move to some place more affordable like the central valley or out of state. It shouldn't be up to everyone else to subsidize your coastal lifestyle - that is a luxury, like driving a brand new car or owning a large TV (some of us give up TV's and cars just to live here rather than beg for help). Now if you can't even afford reasonable accommodation in a more affordable city, then perhaps help is needed.

The new interpretive center is nice. Of course, it'll be under water, along with everything belowRead More Beach Hill, about 25 years from now. I'd be more impressed if the Rotarians raised money to help shelter homeless people, helping them cope with abject poverty, as we are doing in the progressive churches.
Brad Kava August 13, 2012 at 12:37 am
That is most of what Rotary does. They did something unusual with this one.
