The Public Works Department is responsible for much of the infrastructural needs of the city of Santa Cruz. Visitor parking is available behind the building, and is accessible from both Locust and Church streets.</p>

The Regional Transportation Commission oversees the transportation infrastructure in the county and sets prioritiesMore for major construction projects involving highways, rail and major roads. It also manages funding for transportation projects. In addition, one of the agency's key goals is to encourage alternative transportation use in Santa Cruz.</p> <p>The Regional Transportation Commission is located in downtown Santa Cruz on the second floor of the Henry Willey Building on Pacific Ave. The commission rents out conference space to various agencies and businesses around the city.</p>
