Shakespeare Santa Cruz

Founded in 1981, Shakespeare Santa Cruz is the professional theater company in residence at UC Santa Cruz. EveryMore summer, the group explores the plays of Shakespeare and other, often contemporary, works. The summer 2010 season included the Bard's "Othello" and "Loves Labor Lost" with James Goldman's "The Lion in Winter." The group was named by USA Today  "one of the nation's top ten most influential" Shakespeare companies. Shakespeare Santa Cruz also offers a winter show of original works based on holiday fairy tales.

Parking on the UC Santa Cruz campus requires a permit. For the lot near the performing arts center, permits cost $3 and are available in the lot.

International Health Programs has operated a training center in Santa Cruz since the early 1970s. The organization'sMore training programs address critical health issues across the globe. More than 6,300 people have received training in a plethora of languages, including English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Arabic and Russian. Currently, IHP's primary collaborators include UC-Berkeley, UC-San Francisco and several Planned Parenthood affiliates.

Fire Department - University of California, Santa Cruz

The Fire Department at UC Santa Cruz is located across from the entrance to Crown College. Firefighters are available 24More hours a day to handle emergencies. The department monitors the fire danger on the UCSC campus, and protects the university and the surrounding community from fire-related incidents. The UCSC Fire Department responds to roughly 600 emergencies every year.
High Street Community Church

The High Street Community Church is located on the west side of Santa Cruz near the base of the UC Santa Cruz campus. ItMore offers ministries to children, adults and the community. Outreach is encouraged at High Street Community Church, and members regularly take part in activities that benefit local nonprofit agencies including St. Francis Soup Kitchen and the Pregnancy Resource Center. The church also offers Bible study classes for both men and women.
