Help Santa Cruz Cops ID This 'Basketball Burglar'

Suspect pilfered Warriors facility, swiping team loot and cash.

"OK, sports fans," commands the Santa Cruz Police Department.

"Take a break from trying to figure out what happened to your March Madness Bracket, and help us identify this burglar who broke into the Santa Cruz Warriors facility at the Kaiser Permanente Arena."

"He was kind enough to look at the camera and give us his own 'highlight reel' video."

Once inside the facility, the suspect reported stole Warriors practice apparel that is not for sale to the public. In fact, police note, the man is wearing one of those jerseys in the surveillance photo.

The suspected burglar also took a rolling duffle bag with basketball shoes, T-shirts and shorts -- all team property, police said.

And as he reportedly passed through the concession area, he also allegedly stole cash and gift certificates, according to police.

"Help us blow the whistle on this guy," said the department, "and let him know he has 'fouled-out' of the game."

If you recognize him or see some of the stolen property; give SC police a call, or drop an anonymous tip via the smartphone app, or website.

The date of the crime was not released by officials.
