Police Look for Man Who Dropped Stabbing Victim at Hospital

A 31-year-old man was stabbed in a motel room and driven to Dominican Hospital. Police are looking for the driver.

Santa Cruz Police are looking for the driver of a blue Dodge Quad Cab truck, who dropped a stabbing victim off at Dominican Hospital after 4 p.m. Monday.

The 31-year-old victim underwent surgery at Dominican. His condition isn't yet known. 

Police said that an off-duty firefighter saw an injured person being loaded into a vehicle at 3:55 p.m. at San Lorenzo Boulevard and Riverside Avenue. As officers arrived there, they got another call that someone had dropped a stabbing victim off at Dominican. 

Police said the man was stabbed in a hotel room and they got a warrant to search it. 

Anyone with information is encouraged to call 911.

Police are also looking for a white or pearl colored Ford small SUV (Escape or Explorer) with a California License Plate of 4ZIB422. This vehicle and driver are of interest in this investigation, they said.
